Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is one of the most complete circuits in the world. With a perfect mix of fast and slow corners, combined with a technical final sector, the circuit is the ultimate benchmark for car and driver. For years Catalunya was the standard winter testing venue for all F1 teams, meaning every driver knows the circuit inside out. Its wide track and consistent weather also make it an excellent trackday venue.
Opened in 1991, Barcelona immediately took over the Spanish Grand Prix from Jerez. The circuit quickly became F1's favourite testing venue thanks to its varied character and pleasant climate. In 2023 major changes were made to encourage overtaking.
