Although almost any car is allowed on a circuit, some cars will need a few adjustments to last the day. Below you will find the most important preparations.
On Which Days?
You can drive your own car on trackdays: days on which you are free to lap the circuit. No race licence is needed for that — an ordinary driving licence is enough. Circuit days are organised at virtually every permanent circuit, from Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring to Barcelona, Imola and Paul Ricard. Contact us and we will find the best date for you.

Preparing Your Car
Tyre Pressure
Driving on a circuit raises tyre temperatures well above normal road use, which increases the pressure inside the tyres. To prevent the pressure from getting too high, lower the tyre pressure a few tenths beforehand.
Brakes
Going fast is fun, braking hard is vital. On the average road car the brakes get so hot after a few laps that braking power fades. Ensure sufficient cooling. Brake fluid, pads and discs may need to be upgraded.
Engine Cooling
It is not only the brakes that suffer on a circuit. The engine is also put under more strain. Make sure that at the very least your coolant level is in order.
Coaching & Instruction
TrackTime also offers coaching and instruction for drivers who want to take their own car onto the circuit. A professional instructor accompanies you while driving.
Trackday Rules
To keep a circuit day running smoothly, a few rules are of course needed. Just like in Formula 1 races, flags are used to signal danger.
Is Your Car Not Suitable?
