Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari
The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola is a circuit full of emotion and history. Set in the hills of Emilia-Romagna, it offers a challenging layout that rewards precision and courage. The circuit runs anti-clockwise — unusual in motorsport — which presents a unique challenge. After the tragic weekend of 1994, the circuit underwent extensive safety changes, yet it kept its character. Its return to the F1 calendar in 2020 confirmed Imola's status as one of the great circuits.
Opened in 1953 and named after Enzo Ferrari and his son Dino, Imola hosted the San Marino Grand Prix from 1981 to 2006. The weekend of 1994, in which Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger lost their lives, changed motorsport forever. After a long absence, F1 returned in 2020 with the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
