The Racing Series

What is the DMV BMW Challenge?

The DMV BMW Challenge is the German one-make series for BMW race cars, run under the DMSB and the DMV with HWA automotive GmbH as its promoter. The races are part of the DMV Goodyear Racing Days, the German race weekends that bring several series together on one programme.

The field runs from the E36 to the M2 Racing and the M4 GT4 — just about the full Munich motorsport range shares the track, split into classes based on engine capacity and power-to-weight. Everyone runs the mandatory Goodyear tyres, and one or two drivers may be entered per car.

How It Works

A Race Weekend

Free practice

The weekend opens with free practice: learning the track, dialling in the car and finding your rhythm.

Qualifying

A timed session of at least 20 minutes sets your grid position for the races.

Two sprint races

Each weekend features two sprint races of roughly 25 to 30 minutes — two flat-out runs, two results.

One or two drivers

Take on the weekend alone, or share the car with a second driver. The price is per car, so it can be split.

The Classes

Arrive & Drive

Racing Without the Hassle

At TrackTime you simply turn up at the circuit and get in. We take care of the race car, the transport — including to the German circuits — the mandatory Goodyear tyres, the technical support and the coaching throughout the weekend. A race weekend in the DMV BMW Challenge starts from €9,500 excl. VAT with our BMW 325i (E36) in Cup 3.

There is no separate transport surcharge, not even for the German rounds. Enter with two drivers and you share that price between you. For the 1000 km finale and for the faster cars in our fleet we draw up a tailored quote.

BMW 325i

The E36 325i — light, honest and with a smooth straight-six. Our entry-level car for the DMV BMW Challenge, in Cup 3. Arrive & drive from €9,500 excl. VAT per race weekend.
